Musync announces new Online Search (or drive shipment) using Soundminer. All tracks are tagged and embedded with metadata and ready to license.

After weeks of embedding, tagging and preparing files, Musync, LLC, an artist driven music licensing company in San Francisco announced they are preparing their entire catalog of over 35,000 quality tracks from indie musicians from all over the world.  The initial collection of 2000 tracks is up and ready to go, but process will continue until the entire catalog is online.

The Musync catalog is a collection of the best quality tracks that have been filtered out of hundreds of thousands - made-up of top-notch indie artists from 23 countries. The filtering is ongoing and the catalog is growing constantly.

Normally, Soundminer users add tagged and embedded tracks to their existing group of catalogs in their systems, but Musync went one step farther and also posted their tracks on an online searchable Soundminer database that allows anyone to find tracks easily and instantly 24/7.

Musync will also ship drives of Soundminer-ready tracks upon request.

Randy Schroeder, Musync partner said, “In the interim, we still offer personalized searches for clients who want us to handle the search, because they’re too busy to do all the listening and narrowing. We know the catalog, so having us do it is like going to a library and asking the research librarian to help, which is a huge time saver.”

Seb Jarakian, Musync partner and music supervisor said, “The best thing is that we now offer both ways for our clients to find the right track for every project. We’ve done all the work of filtering out the best tracks to offer, then we’ve done all the negotiating, signing contracts and offering the tracks as totally pre-cleared, which is critical, in this business. The last thing a client needs is some kind of clearance issue at the end of the production. We may sure that never happens.”

When asked about “artist driven”, Schroeder said, “We are dedicated to the talented musicians who supply us with all the great tracks we offer. They drive our business and we share revenue 50/50, which in today’s world is generous, but we love helping them, so they can continue to provide the world with more great songs.”

Musync has been helping musicians since 2002. And, it looks like they’re helping the economy by providing a few jobs too. Not bad!
